Dr. Krystal H. Pham
MD, FACOG
Dr. Krystal H. Pham is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist and Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Here at Miracle Orchids Medical Center in Fountain Valley, California, Dr. Pham is delivering expert obstetric and gynecologic care to women of all ages. She truly values the opportunity to really know her patients as she follows them over their lifespan. This relationship with her patients will enable her to develop the most effective treatment for each woman’s condition and lifestyle and, at the same time, educating them with evidence based medicine to better engage each patient to be more active in all their medical decision making.
Dr. Pham completed her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Irvine, with Honors. She then was accepted to the University’s College of Medicine, in Irvine. After receiving her medical degree, she completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Las Vegas.
Dr. Pham has received numerous accolades and awards throughout her medical training, capturing her compassion for her patients, exceptional surgical skills and tireless efforts to the advances of medical education. Some of these awards included the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award, the Special Excellence in Endoscopic Procedures Award, and the Berlex Teaching Resident of the Year. Always taking extra strides to improve delivery of healthcare and education, Dr. Pham was also elected as the District VIII, state of Nevada Section, Junior Fellow Vice Chair and subsequently Chair for the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. There she worked with Resident Leaders from Canada, Central America and other Northwestern States to improve resident education and training.
After residency, Dr. Pham was immediately recruited to join a very reputable private practice in Las Vegas and quickly gained respect from Peers and community physicians alike. Some comments from her colleagues: “Dr. Pham is very methodical and meticulous in all her endeavors. Her patient care, ethics and high work standards are impeccable. Our entire practice grieved when she re-located.”
Dr. Pham returned to Southern California shortly after the birth of her son so she could be closer to family. She thrived with the flexibility of a per-diem position that provided her more time with her growing family, while also gaining extensive experience as a hospitalist and generalist OB/GYN, first at Kaiser Permanente of Orange County and Riverside County, then joining the UCI Hospitalist Group Division as Assistant Clinical Faculty.
Now that her three sons are older, Dr. Pham is delighted to return to private practice and serve her community that she has grown up with since 4 years old. She looks forward to continuing her passion of delivering comprehensive medical care to women in all the stages of their life. She also believes in promoting a healthy lifestyle and exemplifies this by maintaining her own personal wellness through weight training, yoga, traveling and most importantly, spending time with her loving husband and their three active young boys.
